2 lbs. stew beef
4 potatoes, chopped
6 carrots, sliced
3 to 4 onions, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
15-1/4 oz. can peas
16-oz. can tomatoes
1 slice bread, cubed
salt and pepper to taste

Do not brown meat. Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart casserole dish. Cover
with foil and bake at 250º for 5 hours. Serves 6.
